Life in... MARCH

March is over and it is officially the month my first baby turns ONE!

I cannot believe it's here! The past year has been such an amazing wonderful roller coaster full of learning to be a whole new person and looking after one too! But that is a story for another day.

I got a new phone at the beginning of March and I haven't had a chance to transfer my photos as yet so I have lost nine days of March. Don't ask me what I did with them because I would have no idea.

I went to the gym a total of NINE times in March which I am super proud of. It is the most I have worked out since having Achilles. I did have to leave work early some days to fit in the work out but it was totally worth it. I am considering chatting to my boss about working from home options because if I can cut out travel time, it means I have more time to take care of myself. I also did a few Saturday sessions with some of my friends which I loved. I still have my Goodlife Chermside membership and they have a creche that is open on Saturday mornings which is just perfect!

after gym ccinos!

We went to the park a lot and drove out to Samford a few times which if you've read my last few posts, you can probably tell we love it there. It's our new favourite place and we will probably move there once our lease is up at our current house.

When Achilles was born, Ben still wasn't working full time so we were really struggling with money so we couldn't afford to have newborn photos taken. Now that we are well and truly on our feet, I wanted to do something special for Achilles' first birthday so I booked him in to get a professional shoot for his cake smash (for those non parents, its where you give them their first cake and they eat it and smash it and it gets photographed because its ridiculously cute!) I haven't received all of the photos yet but I am hoping they arrive in time for his birthday party which is this weekend!

Achilles had his first swimming lesson this month and he killed it. He was a natural and really seemed to love the water and just have a really good time. We decided Ben would be in the water with him at swimming lessons. Because Ben works so much, he doesn't get as much time with Achilles as he would like, so this can be their little thing and I am happy to watch from the sidelines.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Australian Hair Industry Awards night with a few of my beauty blogger friends and although we felt like we didn't fit in, we still had such a great night catching up and taking lots of photos.

Other than that, life was full of work, planning Achilles birthday party and attempting to keep the house clean!

we also had our first trip to Bunnings this month haha he LOVED running around and hiding in the shelves!

April is shaping up to be crazy! In April we have: My Mum's birthday,  Achilles' birthday party, Achilles turns one, my Dad's birthday and Ben's birthday! Along with Easter and all of the public holidays! It is going to be crazy so if I am a bit quiet, you know why.

If you have any posts you would like to see, feel free to let me know in the comments on DM me on instagram @talkhealthtyome

Keep smiling

April feels hectic overall, just with all the long weekends. I am excited for the time off, but also nervous about fitting work into so few days hahaha.
