NEW IN: PHILOSOPHY Purity Skin Care

SPRING is well and truly here (well in Queensland anyway) and I like to celebrate a change of season with a change of skin care routine.

In comes the new Facial Cloths from the Philosphy Purity range and I, being a facial wipe lover myself (don't judge I'm a mum and on the odd occasion, I like to indulge in a quick facial wipe cleanse to speed up the make up removal process), jumped at the chance to give them a try and even try out some other Purity products I hadn't tried yet.

*I was kindly sent four products from the range.

I have used the Purity 3-in-1 cleanser many times in the past and it is definitely one of my faves along with many famous Youtubers claiming it as a cult fave over the past few years. It is such a GOOD clean! It does the best job of removing everything that isn't wanted on your face and always leaves me feeling incredibly clean and fresh! It claims to be a 3-in1 cleanser but it does more than that! It removes your make up, cleanses your skin, tones AND even hydrates a little because my skin ALWAYS feels so soft after using it which is super rare for a cleanser that cleans so well! They call it the busy girls cleanser and I know why. This is a god send for a new Mum. I never feel guilty if at night, this is the only skin care step I have time for!
Little fun fact: Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 cleanser was awarded 'best facial cleanser' at Sephora in 2004, 2006, 2007 & 2008!

The Mineral Oil Free Cleansing Oil is a product I am always trying to make time for because it is so super lovely to use. I am OBSESSED with oil cleansers at the moment (although it is hard to find a good one) and this one is at the top of my list of faves! It's a blend of natural oils (no mineral oils up in here!) and it does such an amazing job of removing all of the make up (even waterproof mascaras). An added bonus is that it is formulated to maintain the skin's natural moisture levels so it won't ever dry out your skin or make it feel tight. I love to massage this in to my skin before cleansing or if I need to remove my make up before my shower, I will place some on a cotton round and gently swipe away the day!

The Purity Made Simple foaming 3-in-1 Cleansing Gel is a dry skin girl's dream come true! It's like the original cleanser with added hydration. It has been formulated with essential oils like meadowfoam (click here for what this is because I had to google it myself haha), rosewood and sandalwood to sooth the skin and maintain its hydration. I use this one on days where my skin is super dry which happens about once a week for me. Since becoming pregnant and having a baby, my hormones and in turn my skin have been all over the place and it's super hard to keep up with it changing all the time!

Now for the main attraction, the reason we are all here! The Philosophy Purity Made Simple One Step Facial Cleansing Cloths! As I said, I am a huge facial wipe fan and it's mainly for their convenience if I am completely honest. I have never really found a facial wipe I have loved and stuck to. These have to be the most luxurious facial 'cloths' (they deserve the upgrade from wipe to cloth) I have ever used.  They're gentle on the eyes which is a HUGE must for me - so many times my eyes have been left stinging from a wipe or an oil so I love that these are gentle and soothing. They are sulfate and alcohol free and they will leave your skin ph-balanced. The thing I love the most about facial cloths is of course, their convenience! I will be taking these travelling at Christmas time when we visit Ben's family and when we travel to Sydney to meet my brand new niece in January. You can literally take them anywhere and you don't have to worry about leakage or carting one million products with you. There is no harm in using these every now and then but I would still recommend the other cleansing products mentioned above for your regular skin care routine and just keep these for emergencies like coming home at 3am, travelling and overnight stays with boyfriends (or potential ones)!

Have you tried anything from the Purity range?! Let me know what you think in the comments! <3

Keep Smiling!

  1. I love the sound of the cleansing oil - I just got a few Philosophy facial skincare bits but this will be my first time trying anything other than body/fragrance products from them :)
