Life In: September

I cannot believe it's over! Gosh it went so fast! If it weren't for planning for this post I would actually have no idea what I did in September! Just another good reason to keep them coming! I hope everyone had an amazing September.. here is a little bit about mine!

Spring! My second favourite season! It took a while to heat up but we are FINALLY there! Finally out of the bring a sweater to work weather and I could not be happier!

On the first Sunday in September, we celebrated Ben's first FATHER'S DAY! I don't think this guy could be happier to be a Dad! We had such an amazing family day going out for coffee and doing the usual shop and food prep (I don't think our Sunday would change for anything haha). Achilles and I spoilt Ben with some gifts and our little man wore the cutest Father's Dad onesie all day for his Daddy!

I was lucky enough to be able to organise a Nail Art workshop with Bloggers United Australia (I'm a Brisbane rep) & Mermaid Julisa - one of the best nail polish companies in Australia - just check out their range. I wrote all about the day here but it was so much fun learning some beginner tips for nail art!

Achilles hit FIVE months. It is just incredible how fast time goes by once you're a Mumma. He is now sleeping in his own room in a big cot. I wasn't quite ready but he had more than outgrown the cradle we had in our room for him so it was definitely time. He is going so well and only waking once during the night which is the usual these days. Achilles is also now sitting in the big boy seat in the shopping trolley which works SO well for him so he can stare and smile at everyone. He is soooo sociable, he is going to have so many friends! He is so so close to crawling and as I post this today, I have some SUPER exciting news I will have to keep for the October catch up!!!!!!!

Ben and I went on a date (with Achilles). We hadn't been out for dinner since my birthday last December so it was really nice to dress up a little and eat some fancy food! Whilst it was definitely nice, I am loving the feeling of saving money towards our house so I don't mind dates being few and far between, we make pretty good food at home!
I had so many fitness goals for September but I failed at all of them. Being a full time Mum who works full time and studies part time is CRAZY busy. I honestly don't feel like I get the time to do much for me lately which is definitely starting to affect my mental health but with the help of Ben and my Mum, my health and fitness is going back up to somewhere at the top of the list, where it belongs! Being active is so important for me and it is a huge part of who I am. Without that, I feel like I'm not me so I am happy I can now start to have some more me time to work on my health! Even if it's just an hour a day, it's all I need!

Speaking of fitness, I attended the Lorna Jane Active Nation Day in late September! It was SOOOO much fun. Shannon came along and we got to meet and work out with Chontel Duncan. If you don't know who she is, you can check her out in my last blog post here. The workout was insane and it was definitely huge motivation to ask for some extra help with staying active!

Other than that, September was full of coffees (Ben bought me a coffee machine!), bagels, catch ups, teething and walks in the park!

How was your September?!

Keep smiling!
