June Favourites 2016

SIX months until Christmas! And six months until my 29th birthday! 1.5 more years of my twenties! Planning to make the most of it! As per usual, this month has gone super quick! This month was filled with events so I've been super busy.

Here are the faves from JUNE!

Oblepikha Siberica Hair Mask for Normal & Dry Hair* RRP AUD$24.99 AND Oil Complex for Damaged Hair* RRP AUD$24.99

We were gifted some of the Natura Siberica goodies at the Bloggers United Brisbane event at the end of May. I have been loving all of them but the hair mask and oil have definitely been stand outs for me. I love a good hair mask as I haven't had my hair cut in over two years so my ends can get a bit dry. This mask not only smells amazing but leaves my hair so soft and shiny - when used a long with the oil as well. It also has an added heat protectant so that's one less product you have to buy! They are both packed full of vitamins and amino-acids to help nourish your hair and repair split ends. Now I will be able to get away with not cutting my hair for another year.  I'm aiming for Carli Bybel type locks.. although I don't have the thickness she does!
A full review of these and some more amazing product from this line will be live in the next few weeks. You can purchase these online at the link above or from Chemist Warehouse.

Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush

In May, my beloved Beauty Blender suffered a tragic mould related injury and was rendered unusable!  I was just about to order a new one when I fell back in love with my Sigma F80 brush! I had forgotten just how good it was and how smooth and flawless it makes my foundation look. I've had my sigma brushes for almost three years now. I've looked after them well and they're all still in great condition. I use the F80 the most but it had been on the back burner for over a year now due to the old BB. I think I love both equally but will definitely be getting another BB in the near future as I think it does a better job blending under the eyes!

Antopodes Juliet Skin Brightening Cleanser* RRP AUD$32-40

This one I literally started using at the start of June and it is already empty! To be fair, Ben uses my cleansers as well so they never last long. I LOVEEEEEE this cleanser and I cannot wait to buy it again! It definitely has my skin looking super bright and awake and it's also very hydrating! So many wonderful natural ingredients including kiwi seed oil and manuka honey fill this amazing bottle with all of its goodness! Antipodes say this is suited to oily and blemished prone skin but I have rather dry skin and it works super well for me. Ben is semi oily but blemish prone and he loved it as well so I would say it is an all rounder! Another plus is it smells amazing. Will definitely be repurchasing ASAP!

Skin Therapy Dragons Blood* RRP AUD$30

So I just found out this bad boy is sold in Coles! I had no idea! This pump bottle is now empty! I pretty much used the whole bottle in just over a month. I am also using the Skin Therapy Day & Night Bee Venom creams.
Dragons Blood sounds a little intense doesn't it?! Well it is actually a unique tree sap extract that has been used for centuries. Well, it's still working! I love how hydrating it is . I know I say this about a lot of my faves but that is a MUST HAVE quality for any skin care I use on my dry skin. I think I used a little more than I was supposed to which is why I ran out so quickly but at $30 a bottle, I'm happy to use a little extra!
The Skin Therapy range is also free of parabens, GMOs, phthalates and they do not test on animals!

Cosima Skincare PhytoActive Hydrator/Toner* RRP AUD$29.99 - Also available at Malouf Pharmacies

The most hydrating and gentle toner you've ever used! Cosima skincare is certified organic so only natural ingredients are used. I LOVE this toner so much. It's in a spray bottle so it is also really convenient and quick to use. You can either spray it directly on your skin or on to a cotton pad and use it like a regular toner. I'm a sprayer myself but I spray it on a cotton pad to use it on Ben's skin just for a deeper clean. I love using this a few times during the day on no make up days just as a mini skin refresher/ clean. Unlike most toners, it doesn't leave your skin red, sore or feeling really tight and dry.

Giant 1.89L BPA Free Water Jug RRP AUD$19.95

A very random favourite addition I know but this is the reason I have been able to keep up with my water intake lately. Breastfeeding is super thirsty work but with having a baby, it's also hard to remember to eat and drink at the best of times with so much going on and so much to catch up on when they're not needing your full attention. This bottle is 1.89L so almost the amount I need to drink in a day. I just make sure I finish the jug by the end of the day and any water I drink on top of that is an added bonus. I will be taking this with me when I go back to work too to keep track of my water intake. I got this one from Ben's work - I have linked his online store above. Use the code TALKHEALTHY for 10% off. That applies to anything on the site as well!

And there they are!

I have some exciting posts coming in the next few weeks so please stay tuned!

Keep smiling!

  2. Urgh those damn beauty blenders and mould!! So frustrating haha! I haven't used my F80 Kabuki Brush in so damn long. I should probably give it another shot. Last night I actually used the Real Technique's sponge and I really loved it, it was so bouncy!! I'm thinking of picking one up soon x

  3. I love the Sigma F80 too! I actually use it to apply my makeup and then just go over with the Beauty Blender because I find it that combo uses less product because it doesn't get absorbed into the sponge as much.
