Pregnancy Diaries - Week 11



Week 11: Baby grows from 4g to 7g and  from 3.1cm to 4.1cm (the size of a fig) – growing pains going strong this week! 

Still not much of a belly but I am sure it will be here soon enough! 

My diet has really gone downhill this week. Not that I’m not eating well but I’m definitely not eating enough. It’s really hard. I feel so full so quickly and I try to eat more but I just feel sick. I’m completely off meat (ate it once this week and felt sick after) so I can’t get much protein, I never feel like eating anything and I can’t eat a lot.  It’s very frustrating being someone who can’t eat much because it is so not like me.. normally I have an epic appetite and LOVE food. 

I’m taking a pregnancy vitamin and a fish oil tablet daily so I am supplementing most of my nutrients thorough them even though I would prefer to get them from food sources, it is just impossible at the moment. Really hoping this settles down in a few weeks when  I enter my second trimester and I can start eating properly again as you’re supposed to eat an extra 300 calories in your second trimester so want to be able to fit this in! 

Still feel great about going to the gym. It always makes me feel better and hungry after I go. Still have to take snacks to the gym to eat mid workout or on the way home.
Gym is and will continue to be a very important part of my pregnancy. I really believe it will make everything easier if I stay healthy, fit and strong. 

We have received our first letter from the hospital with our first appointment on November 5 (17 weeks). I’m not sure if I can wait that long to see baby again but I am sure the time will go quickly and we are hoping they will be able to tell us if we are having a boy or a girl! We are very excited to find out so we can start to buy cute baby things! 

My skin is breaking out again this week which is super annoying. I don’t like to wear much make up during the week but I’ve had to cover up my blemishes but I guess it is making me feel prettier.
