Pregnancy diaries - Week 10

Week 10: baby doubled in size this week from 2g to 4g and grew from the size of a grape to the size of a date – still so tiny!!

Our little protein ball <3

The scan: As much as I have definitely felt pregnant over the last couple of months, seeing our little protein ball (as named by my fellow Instabeautyau admins) for the first time on the screen in the doctor’s office really made it real. I held back tears with a huge smile on my face the whole time we were there. Ben came along and I swear he was more excited than I was. We got to see the little heart beating away and he was just beautiful. So little and already looks chubby – daddy has been feeding us well with all the home made pasta and bread haha.

Foods aren’t agreeing with my stomach this week and I’ve been quite sick (but not the morning sickness kind of sick). Still no throwing up so I’m happy about that.

Body seems to be getting used to exercise again and everything is seeming easier (have mostly been doing cardio this week as that’s how our program was unfortunately).  Successfully completed two weight sessions… the first one (legs) was a big session and I got super hungry half way through and had to stop to go buy food from reception – luckily they had some natural protein balls which had lots of yummy things in them! Will definitely be packing snacks in my bag for the gym from now on – don’t even care if people look at me funny haha.

Nausea and exhaustion has really stepped up this week. The baby is starting to move around since all his muscles are building and he is learning to use them. With all the growing and moving, it takes a lot out of me. Ben worked on the weekend and whilst I tried to do as much housework as I could, I ended up napping most of the time. I just needed to sleep!

Everyone knows about the baby now and the amount of beautiful support messages we have received is incredible. We feel very lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives.

*As of today, I am in my 11th week of pregnancy, the next update will be next Thursday and will continue every Thursday from then on.  I really hope you are enjoying my little updates.

Keep smiling!

Tahana <3 xoxo
